Family Intervention
I have just come back from Palm Springs in America. I attended the Family Intervention training at the Betty Ford Centre.
I would have to say that it has been the best training I have ever done!!
Jeff and Debra Jay are truly remarkable. They do such good work with helping people that are suffering from addiction issues. And also provide so much help and support for the family. In my experience the family does not always get the help and support that they need, as all the focus is on the person with the addiction problems.
I found them both inspirational and passionate towards the work that they do.
Also, Betty Ford has a fantastic children’s program. They have already helped thousands of children around the world!!
Jerry Moe is the director of the children’s program at Betty Ford. He is the author of ‘Through a child’s eyes: Understanding Addiction and Recovery.
Boys and girls from age seven to twelve can attend. No child is ever turned away because of financial issues.
